01/18/19 – We are happy to announce that Jonathan D’Ambrosio, the writer and director of The Frogmarch, has completed post-production on his sophomore film. His next project, The Suggestion Box, iis a short film that tells the story of a toxic breakup. The film features the same sharp dialogue and complex characters as audiences experienced in The Frogmarch.
06/19/17 – The Frogmarch will be returning to New York City in July! We are delighted to report that the film will be screening in the Big Apple once more after becoming an Official Selection in the Art Is Alive Film Festival. The festival will be running July 21st to 23rd. If you live in or around New York City and missed the film the last time it played, now is your chance to see what all the buzz is about. 04/17/17 – Even though The Frogmarch has screened internationally, we are proud and grateful for the film’s continued exposure to new audiences, whether it is domestically or abroad. Within the U.S. the film has thus far screened at events in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, California, Colorado, Florida and Massachusetts. It gives us great pleasure to announce that the film will be making its debut in the state of New Jersey after becoming an Official Selection in the New Jersey Recovery Film Festival. The screening will take place on Saturday, June 2nd in Union, New Jersey. If you live in the area, save the date and come watch the film with some of the cast/crew in attendance. 03/20/17 – The Frogmarch continues to be recognized for all of the hard work, passion and creativity that has gone into making it. At the 2017 Depth of Field Film Festival, several cast members earned Awards of Excellence for their incredible performances in the film. Catherine Duennebier earn the award for Best Lead Actress for her portrayal of Dawn. Dan Cozzens, who plays Travis Portman in the film, took home the award for Best Lead Actor. The award for Best Supporting Actress went to Caroline Bloom for her performance as Mindy Katz. Last, but certainly not least, Matthew C. Flynn was acknowledged with an award for his work in the film as Best Supporting Actor. Flynn plays Luke Falco in The Frogmarch, but he also served as the films producer. Congratulations to them all!

02/23/17 – The Frogmarch was honored at the 8th Annual Experience, Strength & Hope Awards last night. Taking place at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, the awards are organized by Writers In Treatment and honor the achievements of artists as well as entertainers in active recovery. The event honored Pat O’Brien with the coveted Experience, Strength & Hope Award. Jonathan D’Ambrosio was there to collect the Audience Favorite Award for the 2016 REEL Recovery Film Festival, which was presented to him by the actor Tony Denison (TV’s “The Closer”, “Major Crimes”). The awards were hosted by Bruce Davison (X-Men, “Battlestar Galactica”) and featured guests Ed Begley Jr., Joe Walsh, and Sherri Lewis. Caroline Bloom, the actress who plays Mindy in The Frogmarch, was also in attendance.
01/25/17 – It gives us great pride to share that The Frogmarch has been invited to showcase at “Art As Medicine: Artists In Recovery” in Colorado. The screening is part of an ongoing series that explore addiction in film and is hosted by CEDAR (The Center for Dependency and Addiction Rehabilitation) as well as Writers In Treatment. This screening of The Frogmarch will take place on February 7th at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Colorado. Immediately following the screening will be a 3-person panel discussion about addiction and the film. While none of the cast or crew will be part, the panel will include experts and medical professionals in the field of addiction and recovery.
01/01/17 – Happy New Year! The Frogmarch is ringing in the new year right by having been chosen as an official selection at the New Haven International Film Festival! This is a very special occasion for the film: Not only is the Connecticut the home state of writer/director Jonathan D’Ambrosio, but the entire film was shot on-location throughout the state. This is the 3rd year of the New Haven International Film Festival and the event will take place in New Haven, Connecticut sometime in early May. 12/15/16 – The Frogmarch has been chosen as an official selection at the New Filmmakers Film Festival! The film will be screened at the NY Anthology Film Archives in New York City on Wednesday, January 25th. 12/01/16 – Three film festivals. Four awards! The Frogmarch took home two awards from the 2016 Creation International Film Festival. Kate Armstrong Ross won Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Gabby and Jonathan D’Ambrosio received the award for Best Produced Screenplay. Congratulations to them both! Many thanks are owed to the staff and jury at CIFF for honoring the film!
11/22/16 – The Frogmarch has officially won its second award! After wowing audiences in New York City and Los Angeles, attendees voted the film best picture, thus making The Frogmarch the proud recipient of the Audience Favorite Award from the 2016 REEL Recovery Film Festival. The award will be presented to the filmmakers at the 8th Annual Experience, Strength and Hope Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 23rd.
10/31/16 – The Frogmarch has officially been accepted at the 2017 Creation International Film Festival. This is will be the film’s first screening outside of the United States. The 2016 Creation Film Festival will be held in March. The schedule for the event will be posted as soon as it is released. Stay tuned!
7/31/16 – The Frogmarch has won its first award! After its world premiere screening at the 2016 New Hope Film Festival on Friday night, it took home the coveted Independent Spirit Award.
7/26/16 – Not only has The Frogmarch been named an official selection at the 2016 Reel Recovery Film Festival in New York, but the film will be the opening night event! The Reel Recovery Film Festival showcases films that deal with drug addiction in its many forms and explore the many consequences of substance abuse.
The 2016 Reel Recovery Film Festival will kick off in New York City on September 23rd, 2016.
6/16/16 –The Frogmarch has officially been accepted at the 2016 New Hope Film Festival! We are extremely thankful to D.F. Whipple and the entire New Hope Film Festival crew for honoring our film and inviting us to be a part of their event. We hope you will come out to New Hope, PA this summer and support the film as well as the many great other films that will be showcased.
